Photovoice is a participatory grassroots tool that incorporates photography and social action. Residents in the Linnton community gathered together to use photography and stories as a way to assess, investigate, and act on environmental health concerns and potential solutions in the community that promote quality of life. The Photovoice project provided Linnton residents of all ages the opportunity to take photos and write stories to show their values and concerns about the Linnton neighborhood and to promote community revitalization efforts. The exhibit can be viewed over the next several months at a variety of locations. In October, visit Coho Theater at 2257 NW Raleigh (14 photos will be displayed at a time). In November, visit the St. Johns storefront window at 8426 N Lombard. In December visit New Season’s Arbor Lodge at 6400 N Interstate Ave.
