Give Input and PREP for an Emergency

Planning for Resilience & Emergency Preparedness (PREP) provides practical information on preparing for a disaster in Oregon. The PREP website adds a do-it-yourself strategy to local emergency preparedness efforts with step-by-step tips, community organizing support and printable documents for more detail. The focus at PREP is:

  • Get Prepared: What to know, what to have on hand, simple ways to get started today
  • Get Organized: Make a plan with your neighbors for helping each other after the disaster
  • Get Confident: Keep current and learn new skills by practicing together

PREP is a community-driven, volunteer effort that began in Southeast Portland. Take a look at the PREP website and evaluate the materials based on the needs in your community. Can you suggest additional materials? Do you have a unique perspective or input that would add value to the project? Do you have some skills or resources that would contribute to the PREP efforts? Email [email protected] with your suggestions.
