Are you interested in coordinating a local event – like a street party with your neighbors, Park(ing) Day, outdoor movies or events that promote public safety? All kinds of folks coordinate local events – neighbors, neighborhood associations, non-profits and businesses. Come learn the ins and outs of planning community events in Portland, Oregon. Staff from NWNW, your neighborhood coalition, will discuss event planning tips and resources that will help your event be successful. Portland Bureau of Transportation staff will discuss street closure permits. Office of Neighborhood Involvement Crime Prevention staff will discuss the benefits of their National Night Out program.
